Why was UK UxV created?
The United Kingdom's Uncrewed Vehicle Centre of Excellence (UK UxV) was created to provide a centralised hub of uncrewed systems (UxV) expertise within the UK. Our goal is to empower agile companies to deliver real-world innovation at pace, and to enable a stronger, unified voice when engaging with government and industry stakeholders.
Aligned with the UK Defence and Security Industrial Strategy (DSIS) and the Integrated Review, both of which emphasise the importance of agile SMEs and collaborative innovation in strengthening national capability. The UK has a thriving ecosystem of SMEs in the fast-growing UxV sector, and UK UxV brings together likeminded companies who share high levels of trust, a spirit of collaboration, and a commitment to mutual benefit.
Who is eligible to join?
Membership of UK UxV is by invitation and consensus among existing members. To be eligible:
You must meet the UK government’s SME definition: fewer than 50 employees and under £10 million annual turnover.
Your business must be UK-registered.
Your primary business focus must be in the uncrewed vehicle (UxV) domain - this includes platforms and technologies across land, sea, and air.
